UFT® (tegafur-uracil) oral 5-FU therapy
UFT® (tegafur-uracil) is an oral chemotherapy agent that has obtained marketing authorization in about 50 countries. In the majority of these countries, UFT® is registered in combination with folinic acid (LV) as a first-line treatment for metastatic colorectal cancer. In many countries outside Europe, UFT® is approved to treat a variety of cancer types, including colorectal cancer, gastric cancer, breast cancer, and head and neck cancer. UFT® is currently marketed in about 25 countries. It is not approved for use in Switzerland.
